Get paid for every case you close

Closing the case is half the job. Smile PreVue handles the other half: collect payment in full or offer the patient a way to pay over time, right at the chair, in the same flow where they just saw their new smile.

The short version

A patient who just saw their new smile is ready to move forward. The moment you send them to the front desk to sort out payment is the moment the case can cool off. Smile PreVue keeps that moment in the room.

You price the plan chairside, then collect it the way that fits the patient. Take the full amount on the spot, or offer a pay-over-time option. Both run inside the same flow, so the yes and the payment happen together.

This is full payment processing and patient financing in one place. Here is how each one works, why it lifts case acceptance, and who handles the money.

Two ways to get paid, one chairside flow

Collect in full, on the spot

Take payment by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Cash App, processed securely through Stripe. The case is closed and paid before the patient leaves the chair.

Offer pay over time

Patients who would rather spread the cost can apply for monthly payments through Affirm, Klarna, or Sunbit. Pay-over-time is subject to the provider's approval.

Priced chairside in seconds

A clinic fee schedule and per-tooth pricing build the treatment plan total automatically, so the number is ready the moment the patient is ready to say yes.

One flow, one visit

Show the new smile, present the plan, and collect or finance it without leaving the room. The money conversation happens while the patient is still excited.

Founding rates

Lock in our lowest-ever payment rates

Practices who join now get founding payment rates: 3.2% per card transaction and 6.5% on financed cases, with the full amount paid to the practice upfront. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.

No card reader. Patients pay by scanning a code.

You price the case on your iPad and the patient pays on their own phone, in full by card or wallet, or over time through a financing partner. There is no terminal to buy or lease, and financing is built into the same flow instead of a separate CareCredit contract.

The founding financed rate of 6.5% comes in well under what CareCredit costs most practices, and your practice is paid in full upfront either way.

Powered by trusted payment partners

Smile PreVue is a software platform, not a lender or bank. Card and wallet payments are processed through Stripe, certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of payment security, and card details never touch our servers. Pay-over-time options are provided by Affirm, Klarna, and Sunbit and are subject to approval.

Why it lifts case acceptance

The price reveal is the third decision moment in a cosmetic consult, after the diagnosis and the visualization. It is also where most high-ticket cases are lost. The patient wants the smile. They just need a clear, easy way to pay for it.

Payment is the accelerant, not the hero. The close is still the product, and seeing their own result is still what makes a patient want to move forward. But when you can take payment or show an affordable path on the spot, the cost stops being a reason to wait.

How payments and financing work

Card and wallet payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider, so card details never touch our servers. Pay-over-time options are provided by third-party partners, Affirm, Klarna, and Sunbit, and are always subject to their approval. The provider, not Smile PreVue, decides eligibility, rates, and repayment terms.

Smile PreVue is a software platform, not a lender or bank. Your practice controls whether to offer financing and may need to complete a payments agreement to enable collection.

Patient payments FAQ

What payments can a practice take with Smile PreVue?

Practices can collect in full by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Cash App, all processed through Stripe. Patients can also choose to pay over time through Affirm, Klarna, or Sunbit, subject to the provider's approval.

Is this full payment processing or just financing?

Both. Smile PreVue handles the entire payment moment: take payment in full at the chair, or offer the patient a pay-over-time option. You decide what to present.

Is Smile PreVue a lender?

No. Smile PreVue is a software platform, not a lender or bank. Card payments run through Stripe, and pay-over-time financing is provided by third-party partners (Affirm, Klarna, and Sunbit). Smile PreVue does not lend money or set rates.

How do patients qualify for pay-over-time?

Patients apply with the financing provider during checkout. Approval, rates, and repayment terms are decided by the provider and are subject to approval. Not every patient will qualify for every option.

Does collecting payment chairside increase case acceptance?

The price reveal is where many cosmetic cases stall. Being able to take payment or offer an affordable path at the exact moment the patient is looking at their new smile removes the most common reason to walk away.

Can patients pay without a card reader?

Yes. You price the case on your iPad and the patient pays on their own phone by scanning a code or tapping a link. Card and wallet payments are processed through Stripe, so there is no terminal to buy or lease.

How do Smile PreVue's payment rates compare to CareCredit?

Founding members pay a flat 6.5% on financed cases, which is less than CareCredit's promotional plans cost most practices, and the practice is still paid in full upfront. See the dental payment processing comparison for the full breakdown.

Are the payments PCI compliant?

Yes. Card payments are processed by Stripe, certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of payment-card security. Card details are entered directly into Stripe and never touch Smile PreVue's servers. The same way patient records never enter the payment system, card numbers never enter ours.
